Sri Lankan Fish Ambul Thiyal

My favorite method for preparing Sri Lankan dry sour fish, also known as Fish Ambul Thiyal. A foolproof recipe for the best-tasting fish Ambul Thiyal with the least amount of work. Ambul Thiyal is a traditional method of preserving fish that developed in Sri Lanka's southern region. Every Sri Lankan enjoys this adaptable meal. Garcinia Cambogia, black pepper, and salt are the only ingredients required for the simple recipe. People added their own tiny twists over time, and now there are so many varieties of Ambul Thiyal. The method I'm describing is the one that works best for me. Few Tips: Use a cast iron pan or a clay pot. If you don't have both, use a heavy-bottomed pot that takes longer to cook and cool. Cook on low heat at all times. Some pieces of Garcinia cambogia/ Goraka are more sour than others. So, according to your preferences, modify the amount of Garcinia paste you'll use. If the Ambul Thiyal paste becomes too thick when coating the fish, thin it up with...

Cooking Strategies to Save Money

Before you go to the store, make a shopping list. You'll be less inclined to put products in your cart that you don't need. Purchase in quantity. So, if you're going to create a fish pie, buy larger packs of fish and use the leftovers to make fishcakes, fish curries, and other dishes. Purchasing larger packets is frequently more cost effective. Use caution when it comes to food that has passed its prime. So stale bread can be turned into delicious croutons or bread and butter pudding, stale croissants can be sliced in half and topped with a fruit crumble mixture and either baked immediately or frozen for another day, use a batch of vegetables to make a big stir fry, fruit that has reached the end of its shelf life can be turned into smoothies, and leftovers from a roast chicken dinner can be turned into a yummy chicken pie. Try cheaper brands - the product is typically the same as the more expensive brands, just with a different label. Make the most of supermarket deals, ...
