One of the best places to visit in Sri Lanka is Peradeniya Gardens, a vast 147 acre natural extravaganza with more than 4000 different plant species and 10,000 different types of trees. It also happens to be the country's largest garden.

The Giant Bamboo of Burma, which can reach a height of 40 meters and grows 12 inches per day, is the most distinctive and uncommon collection in these gardens. The Javan fig tree, Cannonball tree, Double Coconut Palm, as well as about 200 other types of palm trees and a diverse collection of flora, are just a few of the other amazing collections.

One can bring food to enjoy a picnic outside or enjoy the cafeteria inside, which serves both local and international cuisine. One of the top weekend tourist destinations in the hill country is the Peradeniya Botanical Garden, which is consistently overrun with visitors.

SpaceX completes 300th Falcon booster landing during Starlink mission

  S paceX completed a Falcon 9 launch, highlighted by the company’s 300th booster landing to date. The Starlink 6-53 mission also marked the 30th orbital launch from Florida in 2024. Liftoff from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station happened at 6:17 p.m. EDT (2217 UTC). The 45th Weather Squadron forecast a greater than 95 percent chance of favorable weather at liftoff. The Falcon 9 first-stage booster supporting this mission, tail number B1078, made its ninth launch on this flight. It previously launched NASA’s Crew-6 mission to the International Space Station, USSF-124, and five Starlink flights. NASA’s Newest Spaceplane: Dream Chaser Tenacity Arrives at Kennedy Space Center
